School Attendance & Punctuality
The School must be informed in writing if your child is to be absent from School or needs to leave the School premises before the end of the School Day.
If your child need to leave the School premises before the end of the School/during the School Day, s/he must be collected by an adult.
After an absence of even half a day, a letter explaining the reason for the absence must be brought into School. This has to be recorded in the Register. Your child's attendance at School is recorded in his/her Annual Report.
If your child returns to School after an absence without a letter explaining the absence, then this is recorded as an unauthorised absence. Each school is required to submit details of all unauthorised absences to the Education Welfare Officer in Haringey.
Please read School Attendance Matters - A Parent's Guide by clicking here.
Children should not be taken on holidays during term time except in exceptional circumstances and with prior permission from the Governors. Please ask the school office for a Leave of Absence Form.
School Accident & Illness
It is essential that the School has an up-to-date record of where parents may be contacted in case of emergency.
Please inform the School Office whenever an alteration to this information is necessary.
If your child is unwell at School or has had an accident, he/she will be taken care of by our experienced staff; they are the School's First Aid Officers.
All accidents are recorded in the School's Illness/Accident manual.
Medicines of any kind are not administered by the School staff unless it has been prescribed by your GP. The bottle/box must be dated.
For persistent medical needs an Individual Health Care Plan will be agreed with the School.
