Enrichment & Extra- Curricular

As part of our commitment to developing the ‘whole child’, our offer extends beyond the classroom. We have undertaken a dynamic approach to the pupil experience, curating a range of activities, teaching methods, support tools and diverse experiences designed to enhance every pupil’s time at St Paul’s.

Pupil Leadership

We value pupil voice and allowing pupils the opportunity to influence and understand the decisions that impact their time at our school. Through the School Council, pupils are encouraged to assume positions that develop their leadership skills. Find out more about our Pupil Council offer, here.

Celebrations

We make great effort to celebrate our community, in an array of events and activities across the school including exciting learning days, celebrations of cultures, beliefs and achievements:

  • House Teams
  • House competitions and points
  • Charity and fundraising days
  • Sports Day
  • World Book Day
  • Celebration assemblies.

Partnerships

Partnerships are integral to the success of our school. These include, but are not limited to:

  • We work in strong partnership with our parents to support pupil learning, wellbeing and development.
  • The Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and our associated schools provide leadership support and the sharing of best practise and resources and working alongside schools throughout the Trust offers exciting opportunities and supports transition.
  • Friends of St Paul’s: a group of parents who work with the school to raise funds and organise events for the community.

Enrichment and Extra-Curricular

Our dedication to enrichment is evident in the opportunities our pupils participate in, allowing them to extend their learning beyond the classroom and experience life-enhancing opportunities.

We aim to inspire and cultivate our pupils’ passions, to enable the development of life-long skills and draw out every child’s potential. Pupils have access to a wealth of opportunities and experiences, to extend learning beyond the classroom and to create exceptional memories.

As part of our enrichment offer, we have access to a number of clubs for pupils, covering a range of interests both before, after and during the school day. The extra-curricular timetable can be accessed below. In addition, trips are woven into the curriculum, both to complement learning in the classroom and support personal development.
