Extra Curricular Clubs

Throughout the year, our children have the opportunity to take part in various after school activities. Parents are informed in the school newsletter of what is available and when they begin. These currently include football, guitar, martial arts, science club, drama and choir.

The role of the modern day primary school is changing. Provision is no longer from 9am to 3.15pm and the ethos of St. Paul's is very much about providing for the community.

Breakfast Club

At St. Paul's, we are able to offer a 'Breakfast Club' for pupils from Reception to Year 6 in a safe and welcome environment. Our Breakfast Club runs from 8am to 8.50am and provides children with supervised and structured activities - along with a healthy breakfast (comprising of a choice of healthy cereals, toast with a variety of toppings, fruit, fruit juice and milk!) The aim of our club is to provide a relaxed environment where the children can eat and socialise with their friends before school. This provision has been set up to assist parents with morning childcare, particularly working parents. If you would like your child to attend the club, please complete and return a registration form - copies can be obtained from the school office.

After School Club

Our after school is aimed at parents who cannot collect their children at the end of the school day (e.g. working parents) and operates from the end of the school day until 6pm each day of the week. Our club is run by three members of staff from the school and not an outside agency. Parents therefore have the peace of mind that their children are in safe, secure environment in familiar surroundings.

Our extended schools services provides a range of activities outside of the normal school day to help meet the needs of our primary children, who are provided with access to most of the school premises during their time in the after school club (which includes the computing suite, library, classrooms, school hall and playground). The activities that the children take part in are varied, engaging, safe, educational and child friendly.

Please come and ask for an application from the school office.
